To apply for Subclass 190 visa, you need to have minimum points of 65 on the points test. Your occupation needs to be on Australia’s skilled occupation list. After that, you’ll need to obtain a positive skills assessment for that occupation.

The 190 visa is a visa where you need to be nominated by a particular state in Australia. This visa gives you permanent residency (PR) and provides an additional 5 points from the sponsoring state. You have to show your commitment to an Australian state or territory for it to nominate you – whether that be working in that state or being a graduate of that state. Your occupation must be listed on either the Short-Term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL) or the Medium to Long Term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL).
