Regional Provisional Stream

This stream is for people who have worked and lived in regional Australia.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Hold a subclass 494 or subclass 491 visa for at least 3 years
  • There is no minimum income requirement
  • Must provide Notice of Assessment by Australian Taxation Office for three years
  • At time of application, be inside or outside Australia
  • At time of decision, be inside or outside Australia

Hong Kong Stream

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must hold subclass 457, 482 or 485 visa [If your 457, 482 or 485 visa was granted before 9 July 2020, then your visa must not expire after 8 July 2025; If your 457, 482 or 485 visa was granted on or after 9 July 2020, your visa must be valid for 5 years]
  • Passport must be from Hong Kong or British National (Overseas)
  • Must be usually resident in regional Australia
  • Work or study must be in regional Australia
