Subclass 116

This is a permanent visa that allows carers to move to Australia for someone with a long-term medical condition.

Eligibility Criteria:

• At time of application and time of decision, must be outside Australia
• Willing to provide care for your sponsor
• Have a sponsor (sponsor must be applicant’s relative or relative’s spouse)
• Sponsor Needs verification medical certificate from BUPA to show person has medical condition that is long-term or permanent AND that they need help for at least 2 years

Please note there are other requirements to meet as well. But these are the baseline requirements.
