A Designated Area Migration Agreement (DAMA) is an agreement between state, territory or regional authority and Australian Government. It provides exceptions that are not available under sponsored employer visa programs. DAMA provides exemptions that are not available under the normal visas; such as occupations, lower English requirements and lower salary requirements.

DAMA replace the Standard Business Sponsorship under the Subclass 482 program and Subclass 494 program. For the 482 and 494 visas, the nomination and visa application still has to be lodged. It is also available for the subclass 186 program, where the DAMA replaces the nomination application.

Please note there are other requirements to meet as well. But these are the baseline requirements.

We have vast experience in DAMA. If you need help for your DAMA, please contact us on info@visaeducationexperts.com.au or +61 414 588 942.
