SKILLED VISA 189, 190, 491
Whether you intend on getting your 189, 190 or 491 visa to Australia, we have all bases covered for you and can make you a Permanent Resident of Australia in no time. First step is to calculate your points and see if your points total and meet the minimum threshold of 65. Then you need to find an occupation on the skilled occupation list in Australia. You will then require a positive skills assessment for that occupation.
189 VISA
If you go for the 189 visa, that is skilled independent and requires the highest number of points out of 189, 190 and 491. The advantage of the 189 visa is that you don’t need to meet state requirements or state sponsor requirements as it is independent. Your occupation needs to be on the Medium to Long Term List (MLTSSL).
190 VISA
The 190 visa is a state sponsored visa, which directly grants you PR, where you get 5 points from the state sponsoring you. Each state or territory in Australia has its own unique criteria, whether it be that you are working in the state or are a graduate of that state. Your occupation needs to be on the Short Term List (STSOL) or Medium to Long Term List (MLTSSL).
491 VISA
The 491 visa is a temporary visa for 5 years. To become a Permanent Resident, you need to stay 3 years in a regional area (anywhere in Australia except for Sydney Metropolitan, Melbourne Metropolitan and Brisbane Metropolitan) and then you can apply for the 191 visa. Each state or territory in Australia has its own unique criteria, whether it be that you are working in the state or are a graduate of that state. If you meet that state criteria, you get 15 points. Your occupation needs to be on the Short Term List (STSOL) or Medium to Long Term List (MLTSSL). You can also be sponsored by a family relative if they are a permanent resident or Australian citizen, which also gives you 15 points.
