Condition 8503, commonly referred to as the “No Further Stay” condition, is imposed on certain Australian visas. If your visa has Condition 8503, it means that you are not permitted to apply for most other types of visas while you are still in Australia, except for Protection Visa. In essence, it restricts your ability to extend or change your visa from within the country, forcing you to leave Australia before applying for a new visa (except for Protection Visa).

Condition 8503 is usually attached to tourist or visitor visas, although it can apply to others as well.

If you find yourself in a situation where Condition 8503 is attached to your visa but you have compelling and compassionate reasons for needing to stay, it is possible to request a waiver.

It may be possible to have your Condition 8503 waived. Click on below for our guide:

We have vast experience in these Waiver submissions, where we have successfully helped them remove these conditions.

Waiver Submissions are a complex specimen that requires thorough analysis, case law and persuasion to convince Immigration (Department of Home Affairs).
